Welcome to Waldecke Vizslas and Home Boarding.

​

Hi, I'm Sara Egan van Oostrum and my family and I have been showing, training, and breeding gundogs for over 30 years, starting off with working Labradors, then German Shorthaired Pointers, now our beautiful Hungarian Vizslas and Manchester Terriers.

​

We offer licenced home boarding and dog daycare and specialise in gundogs, although other breeds are welcome! All dogs sleep in the house.

​

Waldecke is pronounced 'valt-ecker',and is German for Forest Corner, the name of the cottage in the New Forest where we started breeding, showing, and working our dogs.

​

We have produced may disciplines, including show dogs, working gundogs, search & rescue, drug dogs, and bomb disposal for the Police Force. We bred one of the country's first cash sniffer dogs too!

 

We have exported all over the world including the United States, France, Portugal,Spain and even Ghana.

​

We don't breed often, but we look for temperament, breed type, and working ability, as well as being gorgeous to look at, and all our puppies have lifelong support from us.
